• The Sales Manager works directly with industry and academic customers in territory, to assess the needs of the marketplace, to identify leads, and to promote sales.
• The Sales Manager is a champion and empowered driver in the process to bring products to the customers.
• The Sales Manager will help increasing brand awareness and supporting customers in their daily needs
Duties and Responsibilities
You will act as the “General Manager” of your product lines in your territory.
• You will be in charge of meeting with potential customers by organizing seminars and visits in public research institutions and industrial accounts
• You will be in charge of attending international conferences where you will meet industry and academic prospects
• You will be fully responsible for describing the market, for collecting information on the product portfolio of competitor companies and assessing their strategies, needs and expectations
• You will provide support to product managers in development and implementation of marketing strategies,
• You will identify, lead and manage Key Opinion Leaders and non-promotional efforts, as well as play a key role in identifying opportunities for growth of the brand.
• You will support clients as first technical contact on provided products and our customer-services
Candidate Profile
• PhD in Biology preferred but not essential (MS accepted)
• broad knowledge in molecular skills, preferentially in Homologous recombination and transgenesis of animals
• several years experience as a field specialist, with a prior experience in sales with lab suppliers or companies specialized in functional genomics or cell-based assays are preferred but not essential
• Excellent public presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to promote a sense of urgency to complete tasks and deliver results on time
• Organized but not inflexible
• Team player as well as able to become a leader
• Ability to use common computer programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
• Native or native-like fluency in German is mandatory; additional native or native-like fluency in English (written&spoken) needed; additional other languages (especially french) will be considered preferentially

The Sales Manager reports to the Central European Regional Sales Manager in direct line.
This position requires frequent domestic overnight travel, and occasional international travel.
