Cellectis is distinguished with the Entrepreneur of the Year 2004 award

Romainville, France - December the 16th, 2004 - Yesterday, Cellectis has been distinguished with the Entrepeneur of the Year 2004 award. This award from "Industrie et Technologies", in collaboration with the National Council of French Engineers and Scientists (CNISF) and "L'Usine Nouvelle", has been given for the first time ever. It recognizes the vision of Cellectis in term of strategy and technology, and also the industrial success of the company.

André Choulika, Cellectis' Chief Executive Officer commented: "This award is a great honor for us. This first edition of the prize had a prestigious selection committee, including numerous C.E.O.'s of French multinational and successful companies, and two Nobel prizes: Drs Georges Charpak and Pierre-Gilles De Gennes". He added: "This award honors the ambitious project of the company. Cellectis has been founded in 1999 as a spin-off from the Institut Pasteur and is today the leader in the field of genome engineering. The award committee recognized the industrial success of Cellectis in a rapidly growing field that has been initiated by our company".
