Bankinvest is awarded the Investor's Trophy at BIORIF 2004 for its investment in Cellectis SA
Romainville, France - November the 23rd, 2004 - During BIORIF 2004, the Third Annual Life Sciences & Biotech business meeting in Paris, Bankinvest from Denmark received from ARD (Ile de France Development Agency) the Investor's Trophy as lead investor in Cellectis SA.
Cellectis SA was founded in 1999 as a spin-off from Institut Pasteur. Today, it is the leader in the field of genome engineering, the ongoing revolution in life sciences. Cellectis develops Meganuclease Recombination Systems to perform DNA surgery in living cells and organisms.
In June 2002, Cellectis completed a 16 million Euros financing round led by Bankinvest. André Choulika, CEO of Cellectis, comments: " We are very proud of this Trophy awarded to our lead investor, Bankinvest.
