Scientist - Human iPS cells - Project Leader

In addition to its commercial (Cellectis BioResearch) and therapeutic (Cellectis Genome Surgery) activities, Cellectis has recently created another subsidiary, Ectycell, especially dedicated to the use of meganucleases with human pluripotent induced stem cells (iPS). Due to their high specificity, these homing endonucleases are perfect tools for genome engineering because they are specific enough to bind and cut one site per genome, therefore normally allowing robustness and reproducibility for such dedicated variable processes.

Ectycell uses customized meganucleases to perform robust and reproducible engineering of iPS cells. This internal development program is also engaged in a partnership program involving other laboratories involved in the field of human stem cells.

Ecycell is seeking an energetic and creative Project Leader to join a group focused on meganuclease-driven targeting in adult somatic cells and iPS cells. The successful candidate must have a strong expertise in the field of human stem cells, preferably pluripotent (ES, iPS). Moreover, the candidate should have already worked in a collaborative environment for the conduction of partnership project(s) with respect of milestones and timelines. The position requires necessarily a very large part of activity at the bench and technical skills that will be shared with other collaborators.

Required diploma:

Ph.D. in cell biology, or a related field, as well as a record of significant postdoctoral and independent research accomplishments as evidenced by a strong publication record. A minimum of five years of work (including the PhD) in program(s) involving human stem cells is required.
